On September 15, a plaque presentation ceremony was held for the first batch of external research bases of National Academy of Tourism. Among the five research bases, the Research Base of Tourism Impact will be launched at the School of Tourism Management, Sun Yat-sen University. Bao Jigang, the Assistant President and the Dean of School of Tourism Management, attended the ceremony and accepted the plaque titled “Chinese Academy of Tourism –A Research Base of Tourism Influence” from Du Jiang, the Deputy Director of the State Administration of Tourism and the Dean of National Academy of Tourism. Professor Bao was also conferred the title of “Chief Expert of the Research Base of Tourism Influence”.

The other four external research bases are as follows: the Research Base of Tourism Security supported by the School of Tourism of Huaqiao University, the Research Base of Tourism Market and Destination Marketing supported by the Department of Tourism of Nankai University, the Research Base of Hotel Industry supported by the School of Tourism Management of Beijing Second Institute of Foreign Language, and the Research Base of Basic Theory of Tourism supported by the School of Tourism of Dongbei University of Finance and Economy.
