On November 6, International Academic Symposium on“Hong Kong & Macao Economy and the 10th Anniversary of Macao’s Return” took place in Guangzhou. It is sponsored jointly by SYSU Hong Kong-Macao Chu Chiang Delta Research Center, Hong Kong-Macao Research Institute of Development Research Center of the State Council as well as the Contemporary China Research Institute of Hong Kong Baptist University and co-hosted by “One Country, Two Systems” Research Center of Macao Polytechnic Institute. Professor Zheng Detao, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, attended the meeting and made a speech. In addition, More than 100 scholars from National People’s Congress, Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council, Hong Kong and Macao Office of Guangdong as well as various famous Higher Learning Institutions at home and abroad attended the meeting.

Plenary speeches for the meeting were made by Zhang Hanlin, Director of China WTO Research Institute of Beijing University of International Business and Economics, Wang Zhenmin, Dean of School of Law, Qsinghua University, Wang Xiaoping from Japan University of Kytakyushu, Xue Fengxuan from Hong Kong Baptist University, Yang Yunzhong from Macao Polytechnic Institute and Liu Zuyun from SYSU Hong Kong-Macao Chu Chiang Delta Research Center. More than 50 papers were published. The scholars carried out in-depth exchanges on Hong Kong-Macao Economy and Cooperation between Hong Kong and Macao.
