Recently, the Catering Center of Logistics Group launched a series of activities in its member canteens, themed on “A bite of civility starts from clearing your plate”. "Clearing your plate” means eating up everything on your plate or taking leftovers home, which is aimed to encourage food saving.

Specifically, the campaign included putting up tips in dinning halls and food pick-up windows to remind students to reasonably order meals and cherish food. The forms of the campaign ranged from traditional physical posters, slogans and exhibition boards to modern communication channels such as Weibo and WeChat. During the activity, the “clear you plate” microblogs posted at SYSU were also forwarded by some universities and external institutions.

Besides, the canteens have also put up eye-catching slogans in several areas such as the kitchen, reminding staff members to save water and electricity, make the best use of everything and reduce waste.
