On the afternoon of June 4, Secretary Zheng Detao came to East Campus to hold a meeting on the progress of “Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Enhancement Program”. Persons in charge of Student Affairs Office, Office of Scientific Research and Development, University Dean’s office, Office of Security, University Logistics Office, Construction Bureau, SYSU Youth Association and East Campus Administration attended the meeting.

Secretary Zheng Detao listened to the report and suggestions on solving the remaining issues of the construction of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center and improving the infrastructure service level. He affirmed the University’s initial achievements. He pointed out that, the implementation of the "Enhancement Program” should be based on serving teachers and students, improving management level, highlighting cultural characteristics and improving the environment of East Campus.

Secretary Zheng Detao asked relevant units to follow the requirements of Guangzhou government and the University’s focus of administrative work; ensure personnel, fund and conditions of relevant projects; improve information report mechanism and inspection mechanism; and ensure the progress of the "Enhancement Program”. The East Campus Administration should coordinate to formulate specific work plans and strive to accomplish several undertakings that are deemed highly satisfactory by faculty, staff and students.
