On May 20, “A Journey to Water-Saving” was organized jointly by Association of “Run Together”, Students Union of Department of Information Management, Students Union of School of Software as well as campus benefit group of Anheuseer-Busch Inbev, with the purpose of enhancing SYSU students’ awareness of water-saving.

"A Journey of Experiencing Water-Saving” has specific rules which require the participators to lap off the inner loop with 4.5 kilometers distance holding a cover-off mineral water bottles. The first 30 students with the most water remained in the bottles when they get to the finish line will be awarded with a bucket of purified water. This match aims to provide the students with the chance of experiencing the hardships in the quest of water and feel the preciousness of pure water. At 9 o’clock, the activity formally started. Over one hundred SYSU students began their journey to quest for the water.

After the activity, one student said: “we may not have the ability to change anything. But we have made efforts to do what we can do to advocate the concept of water-saving. The bottle of water in our hand symbolizes hope and life for the people who are in demand of water to survive!”
