December 4^th, the award Ceremony for the 2008-2009 school year Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Scholarship was held in the Swasey Hall of the South Campus. Deputy Secretary of the university’s Party Committee, Zhu Kongjun, chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (China) Ltd. And president of Guangzhou Branch, Yoshihiko Kawabata, and person from the university’s Students’ Affairs were present at the ceremony.

After Mr. Yoshihiko Kawabata had addressed the presentation ceremony, the Deputy Director General of Student Office Chen Changling started reading out the rewarding decision. The present guests awarded prizes to 18 award-winning students. Deputy Secretary Zhu Kongjun made acknowledgement to Mitsui Sumitomo Corporation, and congratulated the student recipients, urging them to make persistent efforts and keep making progress. At last, director of Management Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (China) Ltd, Liu Chunli, made a speech on employment as well as her expectation of students who are about to enter the society. After the meeting, guests of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation had a live interaction with students and faithfully answered the questions from the students.
