In the 10th year of SYSU’s partner assistance to Jishou University, President Xu Ningsheng led a group to visit Jishou University.
On the morning of August 7, the two universities held the 2014 annual meeting on partner assistance work. You Jun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Jishou University; Bai Jinxiang, President of Jishou University; Xu Ningsheng, President of SYSU; Chen Chunsheng, Executive Deputy Secretary and Vice President of SYSU; Liu Lin, Dean of School of Geography and Planning of SYSU; Liu Xiaochun, Deputy Director of Institute of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage of SYSU; Luo Teng, Director of Human Resources Department of SYSU; and leaders of relevant departments and schools of Jishou University attended the meeting.

On behalf of Jishou University, Secretary You Jun thanked SYSU for the support and assistance over the years. President Bai Jinxiang reported the achievements of partner assistance work and the plan of next step.
President Xu Ningsheng praised the strategic goals and development achievements of Jishou University. He said that in the past ten years the partner assistance work of the two universities has made outstanding achievements. He expressed that SYSU will encourage departments and schools to look for new areas of cooperation and discuss concrete mechanisms and measures to further promote the partner assistance work.
Dean Liu Lin and Deputy Director Liu Xiaochun respectively signed a research cooperation agreement with Jishou University. President Xu Ningsheng presented the plaque of “Jishou University Work Station, Institute of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage, Sun Yat-sen University”.
