On the morning of May 8, Mr. Babar Amin, Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, visited SYSU. President Xu Ningsheng met with the guests, accompanied by Ms. Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange.

President Xu Ningsheng extended his warm welcome to Consul General Babar Amin and briefly introduced SYSU. Consul General Babar Amin expressed his support for higher education institutions in Pakistan to conduct academic exchanges and student exchanges with SYSU, and his hope to promote medical cooperation between relevant Pakistani universities and SYSU. The two sides also discussed issues about Pakistani students studying at SYSU.
This is his first visit to SYSU since Mr. Babar Amin assumed the office of Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou.
