On September 3, China Development Bank and Sun Yat-sen University held a high-level joint meeting and signed a development financing cooperation agreement in Beijing. According to the agreement, the two parties will have in-depth cooperation in disciplinary construction, campus infrastructure construction, medical and health services development, university-enterprise major industrial project implementation, science and technology park construction, small and medium-sized scientific and technological enterprise development, so as to further raise the transformation rate and industrialization rate of scientific research achievements, and help the scientific research and innovation achievements of SYSU to serve the country and the society better.

Deputy Governor of China Development Bank Wang Yongsheng, SYSU President Xu Ningsheng and Executive Vice President Xu Jiarui attended the ceremony.

It is learned that in recent years China Development Bank has signed development financing cooperation agreements with several universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University. China Development Bank has increasingly strengthened its support for the construction of local universities and education bases in Guangdong Province. A total of 6.1 billion yuan of loans have been issued to support a batch of key projects in education including Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center project, Guangdong college student loans, and reconstruction and extention of secondary vocational schools in Guangdong Province.
