Reported by China News Network, Nov 3rd, Guangzhou “The Signing Ceremony of Donation of Greece’s Books to SYSU Library” was held in SYSU library.

On behalf of the Hellenic Republic, Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Library of Greece and the Greek Consulate General in Guangzhou jointly donated 252 volumes of books to Sun Yat-sen University Library, covering Greek history, language, literature, travelling, architecture, philosophy, religion and so on.

Greek Deputy Prime Minister Theodoros Pangalos, Greek Ambassador Georgakelos, Consul General of Greece Constantin Cokioussis, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Provincial People's Government Fu Lang, and SYSU President Xu Ningsheng were present at the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, the Greek Consulate General in Guangzhou made the first donation of 252 volumes books in 222 types. Donated books will be added from time to time and Sun Yat-sen University Library will catalog the books and put them in shelves promptly.
