From Nov.27th- 29th, the Second Yat-sen Cardiovascular Disease Forum, sponsored by Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, was held in Guangzhou, where 400 people, including Geng Qingshan, Vice-director of Ontario Ministry of Health of Guangdong province, Li Mengfan, Vice-president of SYSU, Wang Fangzheng, Gordon of the Pacing Cardiac Electrophysiology Section of Chinese Medical Association, Zhang Shu, Gordon-designate of the Pacing Cardiac Electrophysiology Section of Chinese Medical Association and about 400 experts across the country were present. Wang Jingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital and Vice-president of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital participated as chairman at the forum and took charge of the open ceremony.

The focal point of the session was to exchange and share experiences on subjects such as the basic technology of pacing artificial cardiac, heart failure and arrhythmias, coronary heart disease and high blood pressure, reporting research fund and thesis writing, wit the hope of establishing an academic platform for cardiovascular exports on acquaintance and exchange of the cutting-edge technology in the realms of up to date cardiovascular studies and treatment. Meanwhile a plague presentation ceremony was held during the forum, where Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital was issued the plague of “Treatment of Cardiovascular Interventional Technology (Arrhythmia Intervention) Training Base of the Ministry of Health" by the Ministry of Health.
