The 5th Joint Meeting for the Chinese Postgraduate Media was held in Harbin from 22-24 December. SYSU has claimed many awards in the meeting. The Guangzhou liaison office of Chinese Postgraduate, which was launched in SYSU in 2005 and led by the editorial team of SYSU Postgraduate, claimed the 2008-2009 Chinese Postgraduate Outstanding Liaison Office Award. In addition, 10 outstanding national postgraduate college media were elected in the meeting, and SYSU Postgraduate was awarded the honor after the secret ballot was taken.
