Good news comes around from Ningbo Division of the 34th (2009-2010) ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM/ICPC) Asia Regional Qualifying tournament which has just ended the other day. The SYSU Third Team, made up of postgraduate freshman Chen Caibin, undergraduate senior Zhou Xiaoting and sophomore Zheng Shizhen from School of Information Science and Technology stood out from the 125 competing teams from 80 universities, and won the second prize in Asia Ningbo Division, The first and third prizes went to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong respectively. The SYSU Fifth Team, another participating team formed by undergraduate junior Liang Xiaocong, Cai Yilin and sophomore Huang Yilun, received a silver medal.
